Australia Day is celebrated on 26th of January every year, to commemorate the arrival of the first British fleet on 26th January 1788. Jamaát Ahmadiyya South Australia has been participating in this Parade for many years. A distinctive feature of this day, is that people of Australia participate in this parade from all walks of life, which shows the unity and multiculturalism of this nation.
Besides participating in the parade, Jamaát Ahmadiyya South Australia also organised an event, celebrating Australia Day on the 28th of January 2013 at Unley Civic Centre. The theme of the programme was based on the saying of the Holy Prophet (SAW) "Love of your homeland is part of faith". After recitation of the Holy Qurán, a group of Atfal presented Australian National Anthem and delivered speeches showing love and loyalty to the country. This event was telecasted by a TV channel on the same day. Twenty four Australian guests including Lt Governor Mr Hieu Van Le, a State member of Parliament Mr David Pisoni, two Mayors of the local councils, , people from all walks of life and a number of Jamaát members participated. Australian guests greatly admired the true patriotism shown by our community members to Australia. Mr Manzoor Qadir Khan Sahib, President Jamaát Ahmadiyya South Australia thanked all guests and Mr Imtiaz Ahmed Naveed Sahib, Missionary South Australia lead concluding silent prayer. Guests were served refreshments followed by a walk through a photo exhibition highlighting jamaát services for the nation, society and humanity
