Blood Donation at Noarlunga Red Cross Blood Service (English)

Description

Blood is vital to life and for many people blood donors are their lifeline. 
Hence, Majlis Fazl-e-Omar's main objective was to involve and motivate every khuddam from their majlis to start donating blood regularly as one of their donations can save up to 3 lives.  

Therefore, on special request from the Majlis Fazle-e-Omar, Noarlunga Red Cross Blood Service Center was especially opened on Saturday, 21 September 2013 so the whole Majlis could come and donate on the same day.

After month of organizing everything including the time slots to suit every one the day finally started with the Tahjud and Fajar Prayer followed by the traditional Pakistani breakfast.  The donation center opened at 7:30am for the first group of blood donors.  Everyone came in according to their appointments, registered themselves for the day and the process of blood donation started.

There were quite a few young khuddam who were donating for the very first time.  They were nervous and excited at the same time.  One young kuddam had to say: 

Talha Shafiq stated,  Hazrat Mohammad (SAW) said, if you save the life of one man, it would be like you have saved the whole humanity.  Alhumdulliah, lots of people are coming in today and it's going well)

Alhumdulillah, 40 Khuddam, 4 Ansar and 1 Lajna member were present to donate blood on the day.  However, only 38 members of Jamaat donated blood as the center had to be closed at their specific time.  Hence, those people went at a later time to donate.

The management of the center was very pleased with our efforts and thanked our jamaat.  Jason, Center Manager had to say: 

Jason Manger of blood center stated,  I would like to thank the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association for coming in today and making it a successful day.  I would like to present every one who came in with certificates of appreciation.)

By the grace of god, the day was a huge success and our Majlis is once again booked in January for a group blood donation event.
