Description
In the creation of the heavens and the Earth and in the alternation of the night and the day there are indeed Signs for people of understanding. Those who remember Allah while standing sitting and lying on their sides and ponder over the creation of the heavens and the Earth: 'Our Lord Thou hast not created this in vain, Holy art Thou so save us from the torment of the Fire'. 'Our Lord whomsoever Thou commit to the Fire Thou surely disgraced. And the transgressors shall have no helpers'. 'Our Lord we have heard a Summoner calling unto faith ' Believe ye in your Lord' so we have believed. Our Lord forgive us therefore our sins and remove from us our ills and in death join us with the righteous. 'Our Lord grant us all Thou hast promised to us through Thy Messengers and shame us not on the Day of Resurrection. Surely Thou turn not Thy Promise' ('The Holy Quran'. Āl Imran [Family of Imran]: 191 - 195). Whenever I come to Norway these sacred verses keep coming to mind because they mention the Signs of the changes in weather and the secrets of nature that are revealed to the believers, they also have a deep connection with Norway, albeit they concern every part of the world. So the more these verses spring to mind in Norway the more one is aware of the pain that we are unable to do anything for this country. I thought that I should seek a resolution to these problem with recourse to these verses. First of all what method can be invented whereby a tumult would be created in the Community, a passionate obsession justifying the spread of Islam in this country. These same verses mention that this emotion and ability cannot be achieved without Divine love. The beauty of nature does not necessitate mountains, flowers, thunderous uproar and waterfalls alone. Beauty is in the essence of the artist who is able to paint a picture. Wherever you are, whether it be in a barren plain desert or in lush green valleys, you will observe the creative beauties of the creator. God has created you in a country where the beauty of God's creation is open and observable and you would never need to scratch away [anything] to reveal its beauty or to seek it out in order to derive the pleasures of remembering Allah. It seems as if the eyes of the Norwegians are so satiated that they cannot see the open and apparent and observable and external beauty on the surface and it never reminds them of the creator and in fact it is as if this beauty itself has burned and turned their visibility to ash. The fact of the matter is that if you cannot recognise the ability God has granted you to see the apparent and visible beauty and if your hearts to not leap again and again whilst sleeping and whilst awake, whilst sitting and whilst moving then you cannot serve this country in any way. Divine love is the answer to everything. Mankind is the gist of the entire universe. The abilities placed in mankind cannot possibly compete with the universe outside and the greatest of these faculties is that of thought. Unless you are first familiar with Lordship, Belief in the Unseen is of no use. Until every elder, ever child, man and woman attains the life mentioned in these verses they cannot deliver any message for life to this country. The journey will be a success if you begin it with the love of Allah. May God show us the state of Norway changing as soon as possible. If only we would see the Norwegian people entering into Islam in large groups and numbers. May Allah bring the days of the fulfillment of this wish very near.
