Quran Exhibition at West Torrens Auditorium Gallery (English News)

By the grace of Allah Almighty and under the guidance of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih Khamis Ayadahulla taála benasr-e-hil aziz, Jamaat Ahmadiyya South Australia held its second Quran Exhibition from 26th to 28th April 2013 at West Torrens Auditorium Gallery. 

On Friday the 26th, the exhibition started at 10:00am with silent prayer lead by Imtiaz Ahmad Naveed Sahib, Missionary South Australia. Soon after, the guests started arriving.  On 26th and 27th, information sessions were held at different times except Sunday the 28th due to short timings of the Gallery. These sessions were aimed to provide an introduction of Jamaát and peaceful teachings of the Holy Qurán to guests. The information sessions started with the recitation of the Holy Quran.  Subsequently, Dr Omar Shahab Khan Sahib,National Secretary Tableegh presented introduction of the Holy Quran and its peaceful teachings.  These power point presentations were keenly heard by the audience. 

Including Lieutenant Governor and Chairman Multicultural South Australia, Acting Assistant Commissioner Police, One Member of Federal Parliament, one Member of State Parliament, Councilors, officers from several government departments, representatives of various religious and social organizations and people from all walks of life, in total 323 people attended this exhibition.

After information sessions, guests were requested to present their views about the event. By the grace of Allah, they all admired the event and its purpose.

Lieutenant Governor, Mr Hieu Van Le congratulated our jamaat on holding a beautiful exhibition.  He also praised the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association on participating in charity events for Red Cross, Clean up Australia Day, Australia Day Parade etc.  Mr Hieu Van Le also said that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association is a model community for giving back to the community.

Mr Steve Georganas, member of Parliament said, through this beautiful Quran exhibition, Jamaat Ahmadiyya South Australia is educating the people about Islam and Quran's beautiful teachings and is trying to get rid of all the misconceptions.

The Holy Qurans with translation in 35 different languages were exhibited beautifully around the exhibition hall.  A variety of artworks, calligraphies and models related to the teachings of the Holy Quran were also displayed. Most of the artwork was prepared by the members of Jamaát Ahmadiyya South Australia. A multimedia desk was setup to inform the guests on accessing online information about the Holy Quran, which guests found very beneficial. A bookstall was also setup where the Holy Quran in different languages and various Jamaat books were made available for sale.  Free literature in large quantity was also distributed among the visitors. Refreshments were served throughout the exhibition timings.

The visitors admired the way in which this exhibition was set-up, the quality of the material presented and the message of Peace and love spread through this Exhibition. They said that many misunderstandings about Islam and the Qurán are removed through this Exhibition. 

The dignitaries were presented with the book "The Life of Muhammad" from Jamaát.  President Jamaat Ahmadiyya South Australia, Manzoor Qadir Khan Sahib thanked all the guests for attending the exhibition and contributing towards its success.
