Charity Soccer Tournament for Humanity First - Bangla News

By the grace of God the Almighty a charity soccer tournament was organized by Majlis Al-Tahir, Khuddam-ul- Ahmadiyya South Australia for Humanity First on 10th of February 2013. Majlis Al-Tahir invited 4 teams to play to make the event a success, which consisted of two teams of khuddams and 2 teams of Ansars. Alhumdulillah, around 140 people attended the event.

The event started off with the recitation of Holy Quran. Followed by an address to the audience by Saddar Jamaat Ahmadiyya Adelaide, Manzoor Qadir Khan where he briefly highlighted the continuous work of Humanity First around the world since it was established. As per tradition the games started with a silent prayer. 

All four of the teams got the chance to play 2 games each, with 15-minute halves. Members of the Jamaat quite enjoyed the soccer tournament as there were food stalls held through out the event to raise money for Humanity First. 

Final match was amongst the two teams of Khuddams where Majlis Fazl-e-Umar won the match by 1-0. Majlis Al-Tahir raised around $600 by team entry fees and $1,163 by the food stall making it a total of $1,763. In the end Majlis Fazl-e-Umar team was awarded with trophy and medals.
