Baitul Futuh Phase 6

Description

The Baitul Futuh Mosque is the largest mosque in western europe and is one of the central mosques of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Muslim Community in the UK.

Situated in Morden, the mosque stands as one the architectural landmarks of the United Kingdom, with several awards including being ranked in the top 50 buildings in the Open House 2009 Rankings.

Since its inauguration in 2003, the mosque has seen more phases of expansion, the latest having been completed earlier this year.

The inspection of the Phase 6 was blessed with the presence of The Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah strengthen his hands). The inspection was hosted by the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the UK, respected Rafiq Ahmad Hayat, and was accompanied by various members of the Phase 6 committee.

The new phase includes an extension to the Noor Hall - one of the three main halls of the mosque complex - and contains various offices and amenities.
