The explication that angels lift the [Divine] Throne is not to be found anywhere in 'The Holy Quran'. However angels are mentioned by inference, by way of explanation and translation. Hazrat Musleh Maud has written that the angels are in relation to the manifestation of the Divine attributes and their lifting the Throne means that they reveal the attributes of Almighty God and apply them by serving to function them in human affairs. From this viewpoint it is the people themselves that bear the attributes. It is evident from 'The Noble Quran' that the way the Divine attributes manifested upon the heart of The Man that is Muhammad ﷺ the Immaculate Prophet they did not even manifest upon the Archangel in that way. The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) has stated that the Holy Prophet ﷺ is the perfect manifestation of the 4 mother attributes mentioned in Sura al-Fatiha and it is these same 4 attributes which will become 8 on the Day of Judgement. This is so in the light of the verses of Sura al-Hāqqah [The Inevitable]. We find in 'The Noble Quran' that on the Day of Judgement the angels will be surrounding the Divine Throne on all sides in tiers and a Hadith of the Prophet sheds light on this subject which shows what the Throne is around which the angels gather in tiers: Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle ﷺ as saying 'Allah has squadrens of angels in motion who have no other work but to follow the congregations of worship and when they find such assemblies in which there is worship they sit among them and some of them surround the others with their wings till the space between them and the sky of the world is fully covered ...' (Ibn al-Hajjaj Muslim, 'Sahih Muslim'). Each person can be the bearer of the Throne if they seek the company of Muhammad ﷺ the Holy and Immaculate Prophet of Allah because it is him and his companions who bear the Throne and the angels assist them for without the succour and help of angels this subject can never be encompassed from beginning to end. The writings of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) speak of the Throne being uncreated and non-physical so it is not something that can be lifted [physically]. Everything that is mentioned about the Throne is metaphorical. The transcendence and holiness of Almighty God is itself the Throne.
